Kūčių dėl laiko juostų skirtumų) ne tik dėl šventės, bet ir dėl pažadėtojo 2.6.28 branduolio, kuriame ext4 palaikymas jau nebežymimas kaip eksperimentinis ir, apskritai, 2.6.28 žymi naujos failų sistemos eros pradžią – ext4.
Bet be ext4 su Linux 2.6.28 kartu gausime ir GEM („Graphics Execution Manager“) GPU atminties valdymui, keletą naujų tvarkyklių ir šiaip įvairių patobulinimų.
